How to Join

Our club now has a Meetup group at www.meetup.com/Thames-Valley-IVC. This shows a selection of events especially suitable for new members and has a page that explains how to join our club through Meetup.

We hope to make increasing use of Meetup and would like all new members to join in this way, however we appreciate some people may not wish to sign up on a public web site. If you wish you can still join by contacting our membership secretary directly either by:

Once he has your details you will be welcome to come to any of the events advertised on the Meetup website without signing up there.

Conditions of Application

Members and prospective members participate in club activities entirely at their own risk, and Thames Valley IVC accepts no responsibility for personnel actions, losses, damage or injury to members, prospective members or their property, howsoever caused. p>

Members agree to be bound by the constitution of the Club, that is available from the Membership Secretary. This includes a Code of Conduct, that is also printed in the Handbook.

Data Protection Act

As a prospective, temporary or full member of Thames Valley IVC, your name, address and telephone number will be kept on the club’s membership list. Information about prospective members is circulated only amongst committee members and is not available to outside parties. The list is held on a computer with appropriate security to prevent unauthorised access. Under the Act you have a right to object to this data being held. If you object it will be removed from any computer-held lists. To object, simply contact the Membership secretary. Bulletins can only be sent by email to those whose details are on the computer list.
