Data Protection Act

Members' personal information (name, address and telephone number and email address) will be kept on the club’s membership list. This list is circulated only amongst members and is not available to outside parties. The list is held on a computer with appropriate security to prevent unauthorised access.

Under the Act you have a right to object to this data being held. If you object it will be removed from any computer-held lists. To object, simply write to the Membership secretary. Bulletins can only be sent by email to those whose details are on the computer list.

The Bulletin and Events

The Bulletin is published monthly and every effort is made to ensure that its contents are accurate and all events are included. The club cannot be held responsible if omissions or errors occur. Any amendments can be sent out by email.

Events organised by Thames Valley Inter Varsity Club are open for attendance by the Club membership and prospective members. Prospective members may attend any of the events, but please contact the organiser beforehand.

A number of events require being pre-booked, tickets bought, tables reserved etc. Please would members endeavour to book by the date stated. Bootable events are designated by “Pre-Book”.

Members have the right, with good reason, to refuse admission to events in their own homes.

Members and prospective members participate in club activities entirely at their own risk, and Thames Valley IVC accepts no responsibility for personnel actions, losses, damage or injury to members, prospective members or their property, howsoever caused.
